Friday 13th

Friday 13th

The film starts of with a non digetic ery screeching which give a sinister feeling to the audience, this set the tone for what is about to happen. Mist from the forest give the effect that there is an evil spirit in the air. The non digetic music shows what ever the two men are going to do is a bad idea; the music is used to build up tension as it gets quicker and quicker. When the camera focus on gasoline it sends a enigma code out to the audience as they are unsure what they are going to use it for but they know its a bad idea. A tracking shot is used to show the movement of the two men, we can tell the are in a rush to do something and as the scene goes on by various camera shot such as close up to show there facial expression the front one is looking not very scared but in a rush whilst the man in the back looks terrified for what they are going to do. An long shot is used to show the settings and the film shows they are in a grave yard and by their movements and what they are doing, they are looking for a grave. Ery sinister music suggests what ever is in the grave is not worth opening it and as he opening it huge amounts of dust comes out this shows something dark and old is inside it. An extreme close up of the eye implies the dead man soul has been woken and that when he gets out of grave and puts on the mask it sets the tone for the rest of the film
