The opening scene starts with the man walking in a ware house on his own with little spots lights and he suddenly here something this immediately suggests to the audience something bad is going to happen. As the man turns around he sees a sinister figure, the lights go off this set a frighting atmosphere for the audience members. The lights come back on and the sinister figure is much closer this keeps the audience on the edge of there seat. A tracking shot is used to show the characters movement when he is running it shows he is panicking and scared this is supported by a close up of his face which clearly shows he is scared. Non diegtic music is used to build the tension for example when he is running; but also when he trips over and find a massive scratch on his leg which came from the dark figure following him, this is an enigma code suggesting how did the thing following him do that to the man when it wasn't following him.
